Democrats Gone Wild | September 9, 2010

As a follow-up to a previous post “As California Goes…So Goes the Nation,” California continues on its bender, spending like a drunken sailor (no offense to drunken sailors), going from a reputation for hot tubs with buxom babes in string bikinis to cauldrons of swirling bankruptcy, spiced with third-world political intrigue, stirred by Nancy Pelosi hovering on her trusty broomstick.

“Toil, toil, toil and freebies, bail-outs and hand-outs, let the contagions and stench from Cali roil and rot o’er the rest — coast to coast,” the crooked, wart-nosed hag cackles.

Time seems to blur that innocuous era in which greasy-haired, Mother Jones-subscribing women in tie-dye and Birkenstocks sold incense sticks, macrame dream-catchers and copies of “Dreams of My Father” (or was that slogans by Malcolm X?) from the back of VW busses plastered with bumperstickers like “Make Love Not War,” “Bush is a Nazi” or some other meaningful phrase (made more meaningful after snorting a tube of modeling glue, no doubt).

The slogan was always “vote local, think global” as if growing, buying or just eating organic, locally grown fruits and vegetables was one’s SEIU union card to the politically correct crowd and voting for the nation’s next messianic leader.

Speaking of local, it is time to snap out of the euphoria of one’s stupour of choice and consider Bell, California, a working class neighborhood just south of Azatlan’s Capital City of Los Angeles, California. In the past few weeks, it was discovered that the city of Bell (population: 40,000) had a city manager, Robert Rizzo, earning an eye-popping $787,000 annual salary.  City council members were earning well over $100,000 annually.  Bell’s police chief earned $457,000 a year which is 50% HIGHER than the salary of LA’s chief of police or county sheriff.  Bell’s police chief oversees fewer than 30 employees yet the LA police chief has 10,000.

Not only are these salaries amazingly high, they are all eligible for retirement benefits of 90% of their annual salary after they retire … until they meet their demise and meet their maker — the Great Horned One with the Pitch Fork and Screaming Assistants.

Little working-class Bell is merely a bell weather (pardon the pun) of what is happening in the rest of the State of California as well as the rest of the nation — the real money to be made now is working for the government, and for those who aren’t a part of the ruling-class elite and still fortunately retain their God-given common sense, there is no doubt  where the government “makes” its money —  off of the backs of the private-sector tax-payers in the form of taxes.

At the rate government employees are “compensated,” California needs to generate LOTS and LOTS of taxes.  It is apparently time for the rest of us schlepps to get another job to support our “public servants.”

And what political party are the City of Bell’s elected officials?  They must be all democrats.  Why draw that conclusion?  The reason to draw that conclusion is that there has been absolutely NO mention of their political affiliation by the “LA Times,” “The New York Times” or any of the other tv “news” programs, collectively known as the “Alpha-Bet Soup Channels,” so one can deduce that they were all democrats; if one or more had been Republicans, one would see “Republican” boldly inserted every other word in their reportage.

In fact, as it turns out, this assertion is correct — only one newspaper in Orange County, CA bothered to report the political affiliations of these crooks.  It turns out all of them are Democrats including Bell’s state legislators, Congressman (Lucille Roybal-Allard) and California’s two senators (Boxer and Feinstein).

Conveniently, the DNC propaganda machine, otherwise known as the “main stream media,” only fail to report a Republican’s political affiliation when such a Republican happens to be, say, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., his father, Martin Luthin King, Senior, or his niece, Alveda King, who spoke on Saturday, 08/28/2010 at Glenn Beck’s get-together in Washington, D.C., drawing approximately 500,000 Americans of every race, political party and religious affiliation — no doubt, all of this will be conveniently absent from the coverage of  Aging Cheerleader Katie Couric, Brian Williams or Diane Sawyer.
